Irish Hiking Scarf

I took the plunge and tried my hand at cables. It looked simple enough 2 rows of repeating patterns. Then a change on the 8th row. First 7 rows nothing. I was so anxious, ready to rip things out and modify the pattern because my project did not look anything like the picture. Then lo and behold after the 8th row, it happened! Things started to fall into place.

I'm liking it so much that I'm thinking about making wrist warmers for me. Another portable project - Yay!

I am also working on the irish hiking scarf. Maybe we can encourage each other to finish it. :) Mine is a Christmas present, so I am trying to get it done soon. I think mine is about the same length as yours. I will post a picture later today.

Your cables look beautiful! The stitch definition looks fabulous in that yarn and color. I scrolled through your previous posts- your children are just adorable and your Hourglass is beautiful. Thank you for visiting my blog today- I'm so glad to have found yours! I'll be back again soon! :-)
