Central Park Hoodie

It fits! I'm so happy with it!

I already wore it around town. Peace Fleece is warm. It's in the 30s today and I managed without a winter coat. If that isn't testament enough for the wool.

I do not plan to wear it with the hood up. However, Pumpkin Girl wanted to see how the hoodie looks on me. The verdict - she wants one in Pink.

It went from this ...

to this ...

Central Park Hoodie
Pattern: Knitscene Fall 2006
Yarn: 5.3 skeins Peace Fleece in Lena's Meadow for size 36
Needles: Addi Circulars in US #7 and 8
(01/06/07 - 02/18/07)

Modifications: I ended up picking up 158 stitches for the hood buttonband. Otherwise, I followed the pattern (See errata on web site). I decided on 5 buttons for the closure.

Hood lays down perfectly

The Central Park Hoodie is on my "To Do" list.

I've got a question. You said that you picked up 158 stitches for the hood - as a modification.

What do you mean by this? The pattern tells you to pick up stitches but I don't see any number like that other than for the ribbing.

What size Hoodie did you make? That might explain it for me.

Thanks!

It really looks great.

Laurie - Sorry for the confusion! The 158 stitches was for each buttonband (ribbing). I knit the size 38. Hope this helps!
